Genesys Wealth Advisers has secured CommInsure risk product manager Kerry Anderson for its head of life risk role.

Prior to CommInsure, Anderson spent seven years as Westpac’s national technical manager — risk, where she was involved in several highly contentious claims and managed all FICS cases.

Anderson also played a key role in building the risk insurance business of Westpac/BT and later Asteron.

She brings to Genesys a high level of technical specialist skill and extensive knowledge regarding claims, underwriting and risk development, according to Genesys chief executive Greg Kirk.

Meanwhile, Helen Richardson and Jerome Bodisco, who took on key investment research roles at Genesys in a contract capacity following the departure of four members of the Genesys research team earlier this year, have joined the team full-time.

Richardson has been appointed to the role of manager of research services, where she will focus on internal and external relationships and the strategic direction of investment research, while Bodisco will adopt the role of senior investment specialist and be responsible for assisting advisers in portfolio construction.
