Equity Trustees (EQT) has continued to build out its business development team with the appointment of Alex Keen as key account manager for NSW.

As former business development manager (BDM) for Australian Unity Investments, Keen represented its property business and joint partners across NSW and ACT. He has also worked with Investa Property Group within its retail funds management business.

The appointment expands the group's business development team to 10 across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane after former Zurich Investments BDM Caitriona Wortley signed on as a key account manager for NSW at the end of September.

EQT national manager of funds distribution Rowena Cole said the company was expanding its distribution team to serve the growing retail and investor-directed portfolio service (IDPS) market.

EQT also found itself a new non-executive superannuation chairman, Anne O'Donnell, in August. The appointment represented the first step towards restructuring the business to form closer ties between Equity Trustees Superannuation and its private wealth services business.
