Equity Trustees has appointed Paul Rogan as an independent director to the Equity Trustees Superannuation Limited (ETSL) board.

Rogan was a senior financial services executive who had previously held senior roles at Challenger Limited, National Australia Group, Lendlease/MLC and the NRMA Building Society.

He also had more than 25 years’ experience serving on entity boards and industry groups.

Tony Lally, ETSL board chairman, said the appointment was important in maintaining the highest level of expertise on the board.

“Members must have confidence in the superannuation trustee responsible for their fund so they can trust that their interests are being properly looked after,” Lally said.

Rogan would join Sue Everingham and fellow independent directors Catherin Robson, Ellis Varejes, and Lally.

The rest of the board was composed of executive directors Mark Blair, executive general manager superannuation trustee office and Mick O’Brien, managing director equity trustees.
