Former MLC Wealth head of distribution, Rob Dassie, has returned to the firm in the financial advice arm of its life insurance business.

Dassie previously spent 14 years at MLC Wealth, including six years as head of distribution, before departing in December 2021.

He had now returned to work as the head of distribution for the southern region at MLC Life Insurance.

Prior to joining MLC, he had also worked at Colonial, Commonwealth Bank, Aviva and Insignia Financial.

Meanwhile, Jarrad Wilson, who previously worked at Westpac and BT Financial Group, would work as head of distribution for the northern region.

The firm said the two hires would be instrumental in expanding the firm’s distribution capabilities and executing its sales strategy.

Michael Rogers, MLC Life Insurance’s chief individual insurance officer, said: “Financial advisers are critical partners to MLC Life Insurance. Bringing in top talent ensures we can focus on delivering a total customer experience to our partners.

“Jarrad and Rob are the next step in demonstrating the improvements in our adviser experience and part of our strong commitment to the health and success of risk advice and the financial advice industry more broadly.”
