Swiss banking software provider Avaloq has appointed Paco Hauser to the role of regional manager, Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA), as part of the company’s focus on the fast-developing region.

Hauser joins Avaloq from his most recent role as general manager EMEA at Appway AG, a Swiss-based software company focused on digitisation and business process management in the financial services industry.

In total, he has 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry, business consulting and IT, Avaloq said.

Avaloq recently implemented a new governance structure and team which places greater emphasis on customers and markets and said Hauser’s appointment complements this new structure.

Avaloq Group CEO Juerg Hunziker said Hauser’s extensive experience and skills fit with the company’s strategy of bringing banking to the next level of industrialisation.

“The new senior leadership team and organisational structure at Avaloq will provide a scalable structure for accelerated growth going forward,” he said.

“Our goal is to meet strong customer demand for our software and services.”
