VanMac launches hedge fund platform
VanMac Global Hedge Fund Consultants has introduced a hedge fund platform into the Australian market designed to give investors a hands-on approach to hedge fund allocation and risk management.
The VanMac Hedge Fund Platform (HFP) enables its institutional investor base to individually tailor asset weightings with various levels of exposure and risk parameters to be incorporated on a client-by-client basis.
Group managing director Scott Macdonald said clients are able to adopt a ‘core plus satellite’ for the first time in a compliant Australian platform/product.
“The idea is to access an index tracking core approach via global hedge fund index tracker Greenwich Alternative Investments and combine this with complementary satellite managers, risk management and gearing as appropriate,” he said.
“This allows investors to tailor hedge fund style and geographic exposures as required.”
