Strategic appointments at Centrepoint
Professional Investment Services parent, Centrepoint Alliance Limited, has continued to reshape its executive ranks as it deals with the last year's Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) compliance monitoring announcement.
The company announced this week that Neil Rogan had joined Centrepoint as the head of distribution strategy and marketing, while David Spiteri rejoins the group as national manager, life insurance, and Theodore Hatsis signs up as head of research.
Commenting on the appointments, Centrepoint managing director John de Zwart said they were aimed at helping the group become the leading and most respected financial services business in Australia.
"These appointments underpin this ambition and will provide market-leading capabilities to our practices across all our businesses," he said.
The Centrepoint announcement suggested Hatsis' role as head of research would be critical to the company's regulatory dealings, with de Swart saying he would be responsible for providing strategic research analysis for the management of the approved product list (APL) and monitoring ASIC announcements and legislation affecting products, the APL and provision of product advice.
