Franklin Templeton launches online education portal for CPD
The newly-launched Financial Planning Association (FPA)- approved Franklin Templeton Academy Online is making topic papers, courses, videos and webcasts available for financial planners looking to gain continuing professional development (CPD).
Franklin Templeton Australia head of marketing, Joe Marassa said the firm was in a strong position to utilise its global investment capabilities to offer approved training for advisers.
“Franklin Templeton is a strong advocate for the advancement of continuing professional development and Franklin Templeton Academy Online is designed specifically with this in mind,” he said.
“Franklin Templeton Academy Online is designed to meet the growing professional development needs of industry professionals, via an online training portal that provides access to CPD accredited training.”
Advisers can track their ongoing CPD accreditation through the academy, with courses available to cover topics such as investment concepts, product knowledge, professional development, behavioural finance, and fixed income.
“We are… one of the first fund managers to bring online learning to the adviser community in Australia,” Marassa said.
“Our aim is to bring high-quality training to advisers in a convenient and accessible format.”
