Zurich Financial Services Australiais honing its focus on growing key accounts with the appointment of a distribution operations manager, Jenny Pang, to provide sales and management support to head of distribution, Janet Smith.
The distribution operations manager role is a new position at Zurich, and Pang steps into the role having worked in the same capacity withBT Financial Group.
Pang will report to Smith, who has headed up the distribution business at Zurich since January, after taking over from Steve Newnham who stepped aside after a four-year tenure.
According to Smith, the creation of the new position highlights the group’s focus on intermediaries as the basis of its distribution model.
“This appointment is part of Zurich’s strategy to grow its business through its commitment to provide a range of business solutions and services that will assist intermediaries in managing and growing their businesses,” Smith says.
Pang brings more than 10 years of financial services industry experience and having worked as a BT national dealer group manager – heading up operations in Singapore.
She was also employed as BT distribution operations manager, and also held the title of national dealer group manager vice president with the firm.
Smith says Pang’s strong and varied background will assist the distribution team in providing good service to its key accounts.
