Former Summit master trust boss Kim White has taken on the second in charge role at Garrisons.
White’s new role as deputy managing director is a newly established one for Garrisons and was developed in response to the group’s growth strategy, according to Garrisons managing director John Sikkema.
“With the growth of the business, my work load has increased and Kim will team with me in running the place,” Sikkema says.
White has more than 15 years experience in the industry and has joined Garrisons after 10 years at AXA Australia.
Sikkema says White’s experience in building the Summit master trust along with recruitment and distribution hold him in good stead to develop Garrisons distribution strategy and its Synergy master fund.
He says the addition of White will also allow Sikkema to increase his strategic work from about 20 per cent up to between 50 to 70 per cent.
White’s appointment takes the number of Garrisons internal directors to six. Sikkema says the group is adding another high level executive to manage the South Australian and Western Australian practices.
“Organic growth on the west coast is a focus for us, and we will be making the manager announcement in the next couple of weeks,” he says.
