UBS Global Asset Management has expanded its Australian Fixed Income team with the senior appointments of James Blair to capability manager and Jeffrey Grow as portfolio manager.
Blair joins the global capability management team in a newly created and client-facing role where he will execute strategy development of the Australian business.
He returns to UBS, where he began his career as a portfolio manager, after most recently working in Singapore with BlackRock and Barclays Global Investors.
Grow joins the Australian Fixed Income portfolio management team from F&C Asset Management in London, where he worked as head of money markets. Prior to that, Grow worked for the Reserve Bank of Australia as its deputy chief representative in New York.
UBS Global Asset Management head of fixed income, Anne Anderson, said the senior appointments reflected the company’s confidence in the opportunities in fixed income markets.
Blair began his role on 1 December, 2010 while Grow will commence on 7 March, 2011.
