Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) chairman John Waller will now sit on the board of two banks as he takes up the position of non-executive director of the National Bank of Australia Board while retaining his position at the BNZ.
Waller was appointed a director of the BNZ board in January 2008 and became chairman in November that year following the retirement of previous chairman Kerry McDonald.
Waller’s previous positions include over 20 years as a partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers and a member of the firm’s New Zealand board and leader of its advisory division. He is also a member of the New Zealand takeovers panel.
