Accounting and consulting firm, Synergy Group has acquired Moore Stephens Canberra in a move which it says cements its position as the largest Canberra-based accounting and consulting firm.
The company said the acquisition took Synergy’s professional staff numbers to more than 90 when the entire Moore Stephens team of 12 joined and would expand services in audit and assurance.
Commenting on the acquisition, Synergy group partner, Patrick Quade said it combined the strengths of two Canberra focussed firms, building our capability to deliver audit and assurance services to government and the not-for profit sector.
Moore Stephens Canberra had been a member firm of the Moore Stephens accounting and consulting network which has 292 independent firms and 626 offices in 103 countries.
The merger between the two companies will be complete by mid-October.
