Brisbane-based financial software provider Supercorp has acquired MYOB’s superannuation software business, which services hundreds of accounting firms throughout Australia.
MYOB provides the software accountants need to effectively administer and lodge statutory accounts for their self-managed superannuation fund (SMSF) clients.
Supercorp managing director Kurt Groenewald described the acquisition as a “natural progression” for Supercorp as MYOB has licensed its technology for more than five years.
He said MYOB clients have “reacted very positively to the increased resources and capabilities that we have brought to the table, particularly to support services”.
