Suncorp has appointed Patrick Farrell as the group’s new head of investments.
Farrell was previously the chief investment officer, and head of advance asset management at Westpac’s wealth management arm, BT Financial Group, from 2008 until June 2016.
He also had significant experience working with investments and insurance.
Farrell would be responsible for the group’s portfolio investments and funds under management, and would report to the deputy chief financial officer, Jeremy Robson.
Farrell had been in the financial services industry for nearly 30 years and managed insurance investment teams for mover than 10 years.
Farrell started with Suncorp on 18 July.
