South Australian financial services firm, Hood Sweeney, has appointed Chris Stewart at its new managing director, succeeding Matthew Rowe.
Rowe, the immediate past chairman of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), has decided to step away from the firm and will be undertaking studies in the US.
Confirming Stewart’s succession this week, Hood Sweeney said that it represented the implementation of a well thought through succession plan for the firm.
Rowe had been managing director of the firm for six years.
Stewart joined Hood Sweeney in 2011 as the Head of Business Development and was appointed as a Director in 2013 to establish and lead the new service line, Consulting and Performance Coaching providing strategic planning and corporate governance advice to clients.
He has over 20 years of general management experience across a range of sectors including with ASX-listed, private and not-for-profit enterprise.
