Stewart Investors has appointed Elizabeth Trinh as its new head of institutional distribution for the Asia-Pacific region.
Having commenced on 11 September, Trinh is responsible for driving the APAC institutional client strategy of the firm.
She reports to Hugh O’Neill, business head of Stewart Investors in Singapore. While Trinh is currently Hong Kong-based, she will relocate to Singapore in 2024.
She joins as Stewart Investors expands its established presence in Sydney and Singapore, underpinned by the growing institutional demand for quality and sustainability-focused investment solutions in the region.
Trinh joins from American Century Investments Management (ACIM), where she held various leadership roles across APAC for nearly 14 years at the business.
Most recently, she oversaw the Hong Kong office’s business management as head of ACIM for Asia Pacific. This role included driving growth in the region and heading up APAC asset consultant relationships, which led to numerous successful buy ratings across a number of investment capabilities.
She also spent 12 years as the firm’s head of Australia until December 2021.
Moreover, Trinh led several ESG initiatives and was a founding member of the diversity, equity and inclusion committee in ACIM.
Prior to this, she held positions at Macquarie Bank, Commonwealth Bank of Australia and KPMG.

Stewart Investors currently manages over $18 billion across the globe, with offices in Edinburgh, London, Singapore, New York and Sydney. The firm has a focus on Asia Pacific, emerging markets, regional and worldwide sustainable equity strategies.
More broadly, First Sentier Investors (FSI), which owns Stewart Investors, manages US$148.3 billion in assets ($233 billion) as at 30 June 2023.
In August, FSI appointed Melbourne-based Kevin Kandasamy as head of institutional distribution across the Australia and New Zealand business.
