In a move to build on its education framework, the SMSF Professionals' Association of Australia (SPAA) has appointed Liz Ward as its new head of education services.
Ward was promoted from her role as SPAA's education manager. Before that, she was a consultant for the Financial Services Education Agency Australia.
"Liz has the right skill set for this demanding role, having the experience to identify needs and find education solutions for all our members," SPAA chief executive Andrea Slattery said.
She was previously director of Learning Advisory Services Australia, a consultancy service for clients requiring independent certification of services and education programs.
‘I see my new role as strengthening SPAA's role in the education space, particularly with the volume of change occurring in the next few years, and with the large amount of education options in the market, as providing guidance to members on what constitutes good quality SMSF education," Slattery said.
