Standard & Poor’s (S&P) Fund Services has appointed two new associates to its fund research team. John Huynh will be primarily responsible for equities, while Jason Patton will concentrate on alternatives.
Huynh joins Standard & Poor’s from IOOF Investment Management, where he spent the past seven years. At IOOF he was the senior research analyst directly responsible for multi-manager products covering a range of asset classes, including Australian equities and fixed income.
Jason Patton previously worked for Macquarie Bank for two years, most recently in the structured and specialist investments division of the Macquarie Funds Group.
With these appointments, the S&P Fund Services business has grown to 27 staff — including 17 fund analysts. Head of research Leanne Milton said Huynh and Patton were joining a large specialist research team that was performing strongly.
“We are pleased to secure the services of these two talented individuals from the asset management industry to boost our skills and capacity in critical growth asset classes,” said Milton.
