Solaris Investment Management is planning for growth in the Queensland retail advisory market with the appointment of a dedicated state manager.
Peter Mahoney will take on the role in mid-July, working alongside Pinnacle Investment Management.
Solaris managing director Denis Donohue said the company had made significant inroads through representation by Pinnacle Investment Management.
“We are keen to continue that momentum, with an increased focus on building the company’s brand in Queensland,” he added.
Mahoney’s role will include identifying opportunities and growth prospects, developing sales strategy and managing new business activity in order to drive inflows via platforms.
Donohue said Mahoney’s previous work at BlackRock, where he progressed from an account manager to the national head of retail sales, contributed to its “enviable growth over the years”.
