The body for small and medium enterprises, SME Association of Australia (SMEA), announced it has formed an alliance with Taxpayers Australia, at the same time expressing disappointment at the government for failing to address the concerns of small and medium businesses.
SMEA Chairman Craig West announced the alliance, saying it will provide a platform for joint networking activities, information sharing, exchange of ideas, and formation of member focused services and programs.
Taxpayers Australia head of tax Mark Chapman said: “For our members, many of whom are accountants and tax agents as well as being SMEs in their own right, this alliance will provide substantial additional benefits including 12 months membership of SMEA and complimentary subscription to MyBusiness magazine.”
He added Taxpayers Australia members will be listed on the SMEA database, giving them access to over 18,500 members across Australia.
Members of SMEA will also have access to Taxpayers Australia’s taxation and superannuation events, webinars and publications.
