The merger talks between financial services groups WHK and SFG have been ended.
WHK has announced to the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) today that the merger proposal lodged by SFG had been withdrawn on the basis of an announcement made to the market by WHK last week.
The ASX announcement said SFG had indicated it might consider a revised proposal after WHK releases its full-year results and its forecast for the next financial year.
The announcement said WHK would now focus on building as a stand-alone business including consolidating its advice business under the Crowe Horwath brand and extending its capabilities in the Self Managed Superannuation Funds market.
