MLC has announced further intakes for its Advice Business School in response to increasing demand for the program, with new intakes confirmed for Sydney and Melbourne in August.
The company said positive feedback from the school’s first participants had driven enquiries from start-up business owners looking to join the course.
According to MLC, the school provides training and support to help salaried advisers launch their own businesses, covering everything from choices surrounding business structure to the pros and cons of buying a client servicing register.
General manager of business development Peter Greenaway said new business owners often concentrate on giving advice and overlook the other issues that need to be addressed when starting a small business.
“By drawing on our experience in working closely with a large number of successful practices, we can skill new business owners and help them focus on the areas which are critical to long-term business success,” Greenaway said.
Students are not required to join a MLC licensee to attend the school.
