Russell Investments has promoted its global chief investment strategist to an APAC role which will see him relocate from London to Sydney.
Andrew Pease joined the firm in 2006 from Macquarie Bank and was promoted to global chief investment strategist in October 2023, having previously served as global head of investment strategy.
He will now take on the role of head of investments for Asia-Pacific and relocate to Sydney in July following a transition period, having worked in London for over a decade.
The new role will return Pease to his APAC roots as he initially joined Russell Investments as chief investment strategist for Asia Pacific and previously worked at Macquarie, JP Morgan and the Reserve Bank of Australia.
In his new role, Pease will lead the investment division in APAC and report to head of portfolio management Jon Eggins.
He will work closely with local and global teams to deliver innovative, outcome-oriented solutions to clients in the region where his focus will include enhancing the alignment between global research and local portfolio needs, strengthening multi-asset capabilities, and helping clients navigate evolving market challenges with greater precision and insight.

In April, Russell Investments signed a strategic partnership with alternative fund manager Reach Alternatives to bolster its presence in wholesale private markets. This strengthens Reach Alternatives’ existing suite of wholesale funds, the firm stated, which provides access to global private markets to financial advisers and wholesale clients.
The two companies also teamed up on the newly launched Reach Global Private Infrastructure Fund, offering wholesale investors access to unlisted infrastructure investment managers through the Russell Investments Global Unlisted Infrastructure Fund.
