In an announcement which surprised many in the financial services industry, big academic sector superannuation fund, UniSuper this week announced that senior Colonial First State and Commonwealth Bank executive, Nicolette Rubinsztein would be joining its board as an independent director.
Rubinsztein will be taking up her board position at the super fund in December.
Her appointment was confirmed by UniSuper chairman, Chris Cuffe who said he believed she would make a powerful contribution to the board.
Rubinsztein career has seen her hold positions at Colonial First State, BT Funds Management and most recently as General Manger, Retirement at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. She has also been a Director of the Association of Superannuation Funds Australia Board for the past eight years.
