Royal& SunAlliance(R&SA) has restructured its operations ahead of its upcoming float, with a number of New Zealand-based executives set to leave the group, while managing director for Australia, Mike Wilkins, takes on an expanded role.
The group also announced last week it would drop the R&SA brand in Australia and New Zealand in favour of a new group name, Promina.
Wilkins will become the managing director and chief executive of Promina and will take on the new role in early February.
The roles affected by the restructure are related mostly to the group’s general insurance businesses in Australia and New Zealand, although the roles of Dennis Fox, current chief executive for financial services, and Michael Good, chief executive for asset management, have been extended to cover both the Australian and New Zealand markets.
The departing New Zealand executives are chief executive of the New Zealand business Alan Bradley, finance director in New Zealand Ivan Hoshek and human resources director for New Zealand Warwick Harvey.
The departures are the second round of big names to leave the group in recent months, with general manager for sales and marketing Ken Brewer leaving in mid December along with approximately 15 people from the sales and operations sections.
