Threadneedle Investments has added to its global equities team, with the appointment of Neil Robson as a fund manager.
Robson will join the company this month, and will report to head of global equities Jeremy Podger. He makes the move from Martin Currie Investment Management where he was global portfolio management, and brings with him 20 years experience.
Threadneedle chief investment officer Mark Burgess said the company’s borderless and active approach to investing allowed it to locate the best opportunities around the world.
"Neil has a proven track record in managing global equities. We have a strong team-based approach, with a culture of open discussion, debate and sharing of ideas, and I’m confident that Neil will provide valuable input to this process," Burgess said.
The Threadneedle global equities team manages $2.7 billion, and collaborates with other equities teams and across asset classes.
