RetireInvest has entered into an exclusive partnership to provide financial education and advice to the members and staff of the Greater Building Society (GBS).
The partnership covers all 60 branches of GBS throughout New South Wales and South East Queensland, servicing more than 250,000 members.
It represents an expansion of a existing pilot agreement between RetireInvest’s Newcastle office and GBS’s Newcastle network.
All staff and members of GBS will be offered access to RetireInvest’s proprietary web-based education services and its professional network of advisers.
The partnership represents the third deal within the past six weeks and stems from RetireInvest’s launch of a Strategic Alliance Program earlier this year.
The first of the two other deals was negotiated with the 21,000 member Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF) in early November, and followed by the 600-member Commercial Law Association of Australia (CLA).
RetireInvest general manager George Haramis said the three partnerships confirm the ING-owned advice group is “on the right track in establishing the strategic alliance program”.
He added that the VFF partnership, in particular, has been an “extremely rewarding relationship in these early days, surpassing our expectation in terms of member take-up”.
RetireInvest is also “working on quite a few other partnership options throughout Australia to help us at the corporate level and provide direct access to a franchise network”, he said.
