Discounts on health, lifestyle and retail services could help generate greater awareness of financial planning services, under a new initiative from dealer group Financial Wisdom.
The company has introduced its Platinum Advantage program, a web-based initiative providing non-financial services benefits for its clients.
Clients access the program’s website via the website of their Financial Wisdom adviser, allowing them to receive a range of discounts and special offers using a code provided to them by their adviser.
According to Financial Wisdom general manager Paul Barrett, the program is beneficial to both clients and advisers.
While clients enjoy offers relating to health, lifestyle and retail services, advisers benefit from increased traffic to their websites, he said.
“You hear all the time that clients aren’t aware of the entire suite of offerings that an adviser can offer,” Barrett said.
“This initiative is a way to make clients more aware of what their adviser can do by drawing their attention back to the adviser’s website.”
The new service also enables advisers to start a conversation about goals and lifestyle planning, Barrett said.
According to Barrett, the process is simple, with no administration required by Financial Wisdom’s advisers.
“We believe it’s the little extras that make the difference between good service and great service,” Barrett said.
