Ray Greenshields has resigned unexpectedly from the top job at AMP Financial Services following a major shakeup of the financial services arm.
Rising star and AMP Asset Management (AMPAM) managing director Andrew Mohl will take over as managing director of AMP Financial Services after just over a year in the top job at AMP Asset Management and a couple of years under Greenshields as head of distribution at AMP. He joined AMP in 1996 from ANZ Funds Management where he was managing director.
Greenshields will also resign form his positions as AMP Life managing director, AMP Bank chairman and AMP New Zealand executive director. He will stay with AMP until the end of the week.
Jack Ritch will take over from Mohl at AMPAM managing director with Merv Pea-cock as domestic chief investment officer and Roger Yates will become global chief investment officer based in London.
AMP chief executive officer Paul Batchelor says the changes are key components of his plan to continue to strengthen AMP’s executive management team.
