The head of Rabobank’s Chile operations, Thos Gieskes, has been named the successor to Bruce Dick, chief executive of Rabobank Australia and New Zealand.
Gieskes has held the role of chief executive at Rabobank Chile since 2002. Prior to this he worked in Rabobank’s international network, where he held a number of senior positions including head of relationship management, food and agribusiness and commodity finance.
“Thos has extensive experience in not just international agricultural banking but also in the wider global food and agribusiness sector in the area of agricultural research,” Rabobank Australia and New Zealand chairman Bill Gurry said.
Dick is leaving Rabobank after more than eight years to head National Micro Finance Bank, an operation in Tanzania partly owned by the international Rabobank Group.
