The adviser and principal at Queensland-based Hillross Mackay, David Pett, has won the 2008 Hillross Adviser of the Year award.
Another Queensland advice firm, Hallerwealth, based in Townsville and Ayr, won the 2008 Hillross Advisory Firm of the Year award.
The 2008 Hillross Achievement Award (for Service to the Community) went to Nistico Sen Financial Adviser’s Maurice Nistico for his ongoing commitment to his local community of Port Augusta in South Australia.
Hillross managing director John McMurdo said the award winners were selected by an independent panel, which included the Financial Planning Association.
The winners were “particularly focused on the needs of their clients to ensure they felt reassured during a challenging 2008”, McMurdo said.
