Melbourne-based real estate investment manager, Qualitas has appointed its first external director to the board of Qualitas Securities, which acts as trustee of the group’s investment funds, including the Qualitas Real Estate Debt Fund.
The company announced it had appointed financial services industry veteran, Lewis Bearman to the board.
Bearman has more than 30 years’ experience and was most recently with Perennial Investment Partners where his roles included chief operating officer and, more recently, chief executive officer. Qualitas group managing director, Andrew Schwartz said Bearman’s appointment would bring further industry experience and knowledge to its well established risk management, compliance, and funds management operations.
