A year on from establishing itself in Australia under its own brand, Putnam Investments has received its first rating from a retail researcher with Zenith Investment Partners giving the Putnam Worldwide Income Fund (WWIF) a ‘recommended’ rating.
The actively managed multi-sector debt security fund aims to provide investors with current income consistent with capital preservation as well as to capitalise on opportunities in every major sector of the global fixed-income markets, including government and its agencies, corporations and securitised bonds.
Zenith described the WWIF as an attractive new product with an investment team that displayed a level of integration and communication that few managers could offer.
The assessment went on to say that the WWIF was well designed for the Australian retail market and well positioned to cope in most interest rate and economic cycles.
