Professional Investment Services (PIS) has announced the appointment of Len Sanders as chief information officer.
Sanders has over 15 years experience in a number of senior information technology leadership roles and has broad knowledge in infrastructure and technology management, strategic business planning, project management, software development and process improvement.
He was most recently CIO at The Rock Building Society, a position in which he led the successful replacement of the business’ core banking technology system.
He also developed and implemented an information and communication technology program that aimed to improve service quality, cost effectiveness and business development.
Before his tenure at The Rock, Sanders spent 14 years at the Bank of Queensland where he worked in a number of roles in the bank’s technology area before being promoted to senior information specialist.
"Len comes to the table with highly relevant experience in transforming both technology infrastructure and applications for organisations of similar size," PIS chief executive Peter Walther said.
Walther added that technology was one of PIS’ "most important strategic imperatives" and the company’s most recent key management appointments were consistent with its efforts to further develop its client services business.
Sanders will commence his role from 30 April and will report directly to Walther.
