Ord Minnett has appointed Stephen Scott to the role of head of research as part of its plans to expand its research capacity.
Scott will be responsible for running both the investment strategy team and the research analysts team covering Australian equities.
He has 14 years of investment experience on both the buy and sell sides across Australian, London and New York markets.
Previously, Scott was the head of research at LINWAR Securities, responsible for the equity analyst team and stock research of Australian agricultural and industrial stocks.
Before LINWAR, Scott held a number of senior portfolio management roles at Deutsche Asset Management including Australian equities, US technology equities and large global IT stocks.
