There maybe a lot of talk of staff cuts at AMP following its take over of GIO, but no salaried advisers are about to lose their jobs at AMP or GIO. In fact, AMP is re-cruiting more.
An AMP spokesman confirms that the group plans to have 350 salaried advisers employed by the end of this year.
GIO already has 225 internally employed advisers in its GIO Fund Managers channel while AMP has 90 in AMP Solutions.
The AMP spokesman, however, declined to comment further on brand and other integration issues.
