The Commonwealth Bank has a new group executive for wealth management – Annabel Spring.
The big banking group announced Spring’s appointment to the Australian Securities Exchange today as part of broader announcements flowing from the departure of Ralph Norris as chief executive officer on 1 October and his succession by Ian Narev.
It said the current head of the group’s wealth management business Grahame Petersen had been appointed as group executive business and private banking, while Spring (who is currently group head of strategy) will succeed Petersen in heading up wealth.
The announcement said Spring would be succeeded as group head of strategy by former Credit Suisse staffer, Robert Jesudason.
Spring joined the Commonwealth Bank more than two years ago from Morgan Stanley where she was head of firm strategy and execution.
