Partners Group has launched a new fund aimed providing investors access to global private equity investments normally only made available to large institutional investors.
The new product, the Partners Group Global Value Fund, is aimed at small-to-medium institutional and individual investors. Equity Trustees has been appointed as the responsible entity.
Commenting on the product, Partners Group head of private equity Stephen Schali said fund invested wholly into the Partners Group Global Value SICAV, which had a four-year track record to August in which it had returned 17.3 per cent, significantly out-performing global listed markets.
"Our strategy is to diversify over the years by buying historic vintages and mature portfolios to create a more stable cash flow," Schali said. "We also employ a dynamic asset allocation that allows us to take advantage of secondary opportunities during down cycles, where prices vary and the number of sellers fluctuates too."
He said initial discussions over the past six months had generated strong interest from high net worth investors, private banks and select dealer groups.
