Paul O’Brien has stepped in to the top job at New Zealand’s peak financial advisers association, the Financial Planners and Insurance Advisers Association (FPIA).
According to the New Zealand based Good Returns Web site, the Royal & SunAlliance planner will take on the role as president of the peak body after a number of years developing the FPIA’s education programme.
Bernard Gresham will take over as senior vice president while John Bunny has been elected vice president.
The new members on the FPIA board are: Steve Richens and George Elkington from the College of Insurance Advisers and Stephen O’Connor from the College of Financial Planners. Other members are Stan Blanch, Simon Hassan and Alan Milton.
