Boston-based asset manager, PhaseCapital has appointed Michael Ning as its chief investment officer.
The company announced this week that Ning would be responsible for PhaseCapital’s investment strategies and research process and would work to further refine investment platform.
It described Ning as being a 20-year industry veteran who received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Operations Research with a focus on numerical optimisation, artificial intelligence and neural networks from Oxford and studied Business Information Technology at Beijing’s Renmin University.
He was most recently senior vice president and portfolio manager, multi-asset absolute return strategy at First Eagle Investment Management prior to which he held positions such as senior vice president and portfolio manager, absolute return strategy and head of quantitative credit research with AllianceBernstein (AB).
