The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) has released the results of its board election, giving an indicator to the mood of the organisation ahead of an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) to be held at its annual conference next month.
The board election resulted in Marc Bineham being elected as president, succeeding Deborah Kent, and in former president, Michael Nowak, being elected as vice-president, with outgoing president, Kent, being elected as Treasurer.
The state directors are Jeff Thurecht (ACT/NSW, Tim Ross (Queensland), Sam Robinson (Victoria), Dave Slovenic (South Australia), James Ford (West Australia) and Matthew Hawkins (Tasmania).
