Affinia has appointed former AMP risk research manager Sitparan Gnanendran as national manager, advice as the specialist dealer group expands into the risk advice market.
He will be responsible for maintaining and developing Affinia's advice delivery and research tools including its internal risk research function.
He will maintain relationships between the licensee and its approved product list (APL) partners as well as the production of training and education materials for practitioners.
Since the launch of the TAL-backed dealer group in late November last year, Affinia head Craig Parker said its offering has garnered significant interest from risk professionals.
Part of this appeal is removing the "noise" by providing back-office functionality, meeting compliance obligations and having an open-risk APL, Parker said.
