Link Group is intending to appoint its current director, Michael Carapiet, as independent chairman of the board, three industry leaders as non-executive directors of the board.
Link said its intended appointments of Carapiet along with Glen Boreham, Sally Pitkin, and Fiona Trafford-Walker will be effective 23 September.
Managing director, John McMurtrie, said the four have many years of executive leadership experience across key sectors relevant to Link’s business.
“It is a privilege to have such a wealth of expertise and insight in superannuation, wealth management, and technological innovation to draw upon as we continue to grow,” McMurtrie said.
Commenting on his appointment, Carapiet said “I am honoured to have been asked to chair Link Group through the next phase of its growth as a leader in technology-enabled financial and wealth data management.”
Carapiet joined the Link Group board in 2015 and currently chairs the boards of Insurance & Care NSW, Smartgroup Corporation, and Adexum Capital.
Boreham is director ASX-listed companies Data#3, Southern Cross Media Group, and Cochlear.
Pitkin is also director of four ASX-lsited companies and has 10 years of experience as a non-executive director of ASX 200 companies.
Tafford-Walker is currently director of consulting and was the inaugural managing director at Frontier Advisors.
