Nicole Kinnear credits her win to her Statewide’s progressive and supportive environment, and chief executive, Richard Nunn for his strategic vision.
“As a team and an organisation, we’re breaking new ground,” she said.
“[We] to look at everything with fresh eyes and an expectation that we won’t do things as they’ve always been done.
“This has given us permission to be brave and really back ourselves in regards to how we think we can best grow a brand, attract new members and build a stronger connection with our existing members.”
Kinnear began at Statewide in 2016 in the role of brand activation manager, and progressed to head of brand and corporate affairs in January, before assuming her current role.
Commenting on her success, judges said Kinnear was to be commended for the development of partnerships with the SANFL Women’s League and the Adelaide Strikers with Statewide, as well as the development of a women’s sport wrap-up on 5AA and her overall extra-curricular contribution to women in football in South Australia.
In the office, Kinnear’s work over the past 12 months as the leader of Statewide’s all-female marketing team has involved a realignment of the brand including a new design roll out and work on the soon-to-be launched Statewide best practice website.
Commenting on Kinnear’s contributions to Statewide, her nominee for the award pointed to her thorough approach as a key cornerstone for success.
“Her marketing strategy is based on customer research which has provided significant insights,” she said.
“The marketing results over the past financial year have been truly outstanding. All marketing metrics have significantly exceeded their objectives.”
Fellow nominees in the marketing and communications award category were also praised for their contribution to the progression of women above and beyond the call of work.
Judges said PayPal’s Elaine Herlihy had driven the firm’s success strongly, while AIA’s Deirdre Boyle was commended for championing customer-centricity in her role as marketing director.
Judges also commended Ronan-Pierce for her experience, and said her commitment to women was extensive.
