Russell Investments has appointed Peter Gunning as global chief investment officer (CIO) and managing director of multi-manager investments.
Previously CIO of the Asia Pacific region, Gunning will succeed Tom Hanly, who will take on the role of chief operating officer.
Gunning will report directly to Russell president and chief executive Craig Ueland, relocating to Russell’s US headquarters at Tacoma.
He has responsibility for directing Russell’s global investment management and research activities, which is comprised of 300 investment professionals across four continents.
