Former Victorian Liberal Premier, Jeff Kennett has been named as the next chairman of Equity Trustees.
The company announced to the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) today that Kennett would become chairman of EQT Holdings Limited following the forthcoming retirement of current chairman, Tony Killen, in October.
Kennett has been a director of EQT for nine years and has served as a member of the Remuneration, Human Resources and Nomination Committee.
The ASX announcement said Kennett’s appointment of chairman was subject to him being re-elected to the board of EQT by shareholders.
