Insurer AIA Australia has appointed Damien Green as its new chief executive, replacing Stuart Harrison, who resigned in March this year to take up the role of chief executive for AXA Hong Kong.
Green joined AIA Australia in 2006 and has spent the last two years in the role as general manager of insurance.
Before joining AIA he was general manager of business development at AustralianSuper and national manager of business development for the Superannuation Trust of Australia (STA Super).
Green has “led considerable growth across the business, particularly in his role as general manager of insurance”, according to Mark Wilson, AIA group chief executive.
“I am confident in his new role he will continue building on our programs of client engagement, product innovation and technological efficiency,” Wilson said.
