He would be expected to begin in May and replace Damian Moloney leaving on 29 March.
Polson currently is a general manager, wealth management with Tasmanian financial services group MyState Limited.
Prior to this, he worked at the ANZ Group which included the role of global head of investment management in the chief investment office of ANZ Global Wealth.
He also held a number of roles at IOOF and NAB.
