The Financial Planning Association (FPA) is to provide consumers with free financial advice online for one month, beginning with the launch of its Financial Planning Week on May 25.
All Australian will be able to submit questions on a range of financial topics via the FPA’s online financial planning service, Ask an Expert.
FPA chief executive Jo-Anne Bloc anticipated that many consumers would use the service to ask questions relating to how the Federal Budget would impact on their financial position.
Other preferred topics would involve super, setting financial goals and budgeting, savings and investments and retirement issues, she said.
The initiative has been welcomed by Superannuation and Corporate Law Minister Senator Nick Sherry.
